CLEANING STATS
Bushels per hour is tough to calculate for a Simple Screen , considering that the amount and type of dockage you’re trying to remove changes the cleaning capacity.
TEST 1. We had a pea crop that had 17% dockage (mix of wild oats and dry pigweed) go down to 1.1% dockage with one run through the Simple Screen at 2200 BPH
TEST 2. Another pea crop had 15% pigweed , with one run through the Simple Screen at approximately 3500 BPH it was down to 0.2%
Wild oats seem to be the toughest grain to remove from peas . Generally speaking , operating the Simple Screen slower and/or with less volume increases cleaning power.
